WHO WE ARE
Our league was created in 2009 to provide men aged 60 plus with the opportunity to continue to play slo-pitch at a moderately competitive level. Our goal is to have fun and maintain a friendly, collegial atmosphere. Our motto is “We Play Because We Can”.
Depending on enrollment we have 5, 6, 7 or 8 teams. We play on Thursday mornings from early May into mid-September at the Glenashton Park twin diamonds (on Glenashton Drive just east of 8th Line, Oakville). If we have 6 or more teams we also play at one or both of the diamonds at Millbank Park West (on Glenashton Drive west of Trafalgar). Each team plays two 7-inning games from 9:30 a.m. to noon. We have paid umpires at all games.
There is a fairly wide range of ability among our players. Many of our players also play on tournament teams, but we also have players who are slowing down a little. Most players are in their 60’s and early 70’s. Teams are formed each year by the Executive Committee with the goal of creating balanced competition. Mixing up the teams each year also helps players to get to know each other.
After the games many of our players head to a local pub (The Pump & Patio in the Upper Oakville Shopping Centre) for lunch, refreshments and to rehash the morning’s games.

We are looking for experienced slo-pitch players who will be 60 or older in their first year in the league. If you would like to apply please download and complete the Application/Waiver form and the Self-Assessment (see below) and send us pdf copies by email to ommslopitch@gmail.com. If your application is accepted we will contact you by phone or email and provide instructions on how to pay the registration fee. The registration fee for 2027 is $225 if paid by November 30 and $250 if paid afterwards.
